Hi! My name is Kielly Richter. I grew up in Grand Forks, ND and moved to Bismarck nearly five years ago. I am pursuing my degree in Elementary Education and will graduate December 2020. My desire to become an educator stems from many different aspects of my life, but the two most inspirational reasons are my love for kids and my high school college algebra teacher, Mr. Haug. My ultimate goal for my career is to teach math in the middle school setting and through this I desire to instill my passion for having an environment where my students feel cared for so that they can learn in an effective way.
Throughout my life I have spent a lot of time with my family enjoying the outdoors, playing cards, and enjoying conversations with one another; through this time my family has had a positive influence on my life. They have played an enormous role in shaping my life spiritually, personally, and professionally. Being at the University of Mary has only enhanced my growth in these areas, and I desire to continue to grow these in my future career. Blessed to have such a supportive community around me, I care deeply about offering this support to my students. This family upbringing has influenced how I care for others; I care for each and every person with whom I interact. I apply this deeply rooted sense for care in the past jobs I have had as well as my current position at Pride. |
